How To Contact A Mentor

You finally found the perfect mentor. You’re thrilled! Imagine how many doors this person can open for you. Imagine the skills, knowledge and expertise that they’ll share with you. Imagine the impact this will have on your professional and personal development.

The next step is now to reach out to your potential mentor. You really want to make a good first impression, but you’re wondering how to write that catchy and captivating email. Search no more, we’re here to help you! We’ve created an email template that you can tweak so it fits your purpose and goals. To maximize your chances, you can include a curriculum vitae (or CV). Here are some sample formats to follow for your CV. Before you send the email, don’t forget to check for typos!

Give about 1-2 weeks for a response, and if you do not hear back from them, it’s ok to send a reminder email.

If you are unsure, you are more than welcome to reach out to a member of our team and we will be happy to go over your email or CV for some extra help or polishing! You can email us at gendereqglobalsurg@gmail.com.

Good luck!
